Marumi EXUS Lens Protect Mark II

The Marumi EXUS Lens Protect Mark II is an upgraded model of our flagship lens protector. Designed for everyday use, it provides enhanced protection and optical performance through minimal design and maximum purity —ideal for photographers who value both lens safety and image quality.

    • Surface reflection reduced to below 0.2%, down from 0.3% on the previous model (420-680nm average, Typical Value)**
    • Made from German Schott B270i glass, ensuring high-precision optical flatness
    • High transmittance of 99.3% (400-700nm average, Typical Value)**
    • Advanced coating with twenty-two layers total on both sides
    • Anti-Static Coating (ASC) prevents dust and dirt adhesion, allowing them to be easily blown off
    • Water- and oil-repellent coating repels water with just an air blower. Sweat, lotion, fingerprints, and grease wipe off effortlessly
    • Glass thickness of 2.0mm enables enhanced lens protection, while simultaneously realizing a thin frame to avoid vignetting
    • Knurling enables easy and smooth handling, embedded in the lightweight and thin aluminum frame
    • Made in Japan with exceptional optical precision and performance

    Anti-Static Coating (ASC)

The defining feature of the EXUS series is its exceptional Anti-Static Coating (ASC). Unlike standard filters, ASC actively repels dust on the filter surface through proven antistatic properties.

What is the benefit of using a Lens Protector?
Does it affect image quality? Why Lens Protector instead of UV?

A Lens Protector purely protects your delicate and expensive camera lens from dust, fingerprints, scratches —and most importantly—physical shock and impact, without compromising image quality.

Many photographers use UV filters primarily for protection. However, UV filters are designed mainly for ultraviolet light blocking. They do provide some physical protection, but this is secondary to their UV-cutting function.

If your goal is purely physical protection against damage and shock, we recommend a Lens Protector. UV protection is valuable for lens safety in certain conditions. However, achieving equivalent optical performance and physical protection with a UV filter is more costly. UV filters are chosen based on shooting location and weather conditions.
